After days of trekking deep in the Tien Shan Mountains, we finally descended toward Issyk-Kul. The vast turquoise lake shimmered beneath distant snow-capped peaks. As we prepared breakfast on the beach, a group of Kyrgyz boys suddenly ran laughing into the water — a white horse splashing beside them. The moment felt surreal.
